Badges
The Badges feature in Wazo is a gamified recognition system that allows users to create, assign, view, and collect badges. Think of them as digital tokens of appreciation — lightweight, visual recognitions that can be shared peer-to-peer or from managers to team members. Badges reflect soft skills, micro-achievements, values, and day-to-day wins. Unlike awards, which are more formal and criteria-based, badges are agile and frequent, making them perfect for continuous engagement.

User Guide
The Badges feature is organized across a Listing Page and a Details Page. Use the Search Bar (top right) to find specific badges by typing keywords. The Sort Dropdown offers options like Most Recent, Most Popular, and Alphabetical for efficient browsing. The Badge Cards grid displays each badge with its title, icon, and holder count. Clicking a badge opens a detailed view with criteria, award history, and recent recipients. The Listing Page shows all available badges, while the Details Page highlights recognition patterns, recipient counts, and popular badges.
How it Helps
Fuels everyday recognition by encouraging spontaneous appreciation without formal approval.
Introduces a gamified element that adds fun, motivation, and friendly engagement across teams.
Reinforces positive behaviors such as soft skills, company values, and good habits.
Boosts visibility by acknowledging small, everyday contributions in real time.
Use Case
Peer-to-Peer Kudos Badge
Two developers collaborate across teams on a tight deadline. One goes the extra mile by staying late to debug a shared module. The other sends a 'Team Player' badge with a short note: 'Thanks for stepping up last night — you saved us hours.' The badge appears on the recipient’s profile, visible to peers and managers. Over time, similar badges accumulate and contribute to a culture of active peer recognition.
